Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Quality Engineering Intern will assist the Quality Engineering Team with support of the Operations group, investigation into exceptions, execution of study protocols, and other support functions as assigned. This position is intended to be a full-time opportunity for an undergraduate to obtain hands-on experience in Quality Engineering while supporting daily Operational support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily Operational support including reviewing production records and interaction with Operations personnel.
  • Assist with researching and/or generating protocols, reports, and metrics.
  • Assist with investigations into exceptions encountered during production of medical devices.
  • Assist with general word processing for various investigations, procedures, and other document types as needed.
  • Assist with other support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be highly organized and able to produce high quality work as a part of a team.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a deadline controlled environment.
  • Must have excellent writing, verbal communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

 

Education and Experience

  • Enrollment towards Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences or Engineering with at least two years of college-level coursework.
  • Preference given to candidates with a record of outstanding academic achievement.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time and up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for an extended period of time.
