  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    This Business Analyst will gather important service incident data and instrument performance data and compile it into in-depth reports. This position will represent the service & support organization on projects and deliver results that will make the organization more profitable. The Business Analyst must work collaboratively with cross functional team members on multiple projects simultaneously and translate the data into digestible information that improves the service & support teams’ processes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Interpret data and create models that depict trends in the installed instrument base
    • Identify and analyze trends in service data to recommend and generate easy-to-interpret reports utilizing MS Office
    • Work with Service Operations management team to identify and prioritize business needs of the service team
    • Work with departmental managers to outline the specific needs for each project
    • Participate on department and cross-functional projects to support the needs of the service organization
    • Analyze service metrics and business initiatives and translate results from data into actionable insights that help drive business goals and improve company performance
    • Manage field actions and upgrade tracking to completion of effected instruments
    • Participate in and lead projects/meetings with internal/external stakeholders to define, develop and document test data management best practices and procedures
    • Create and maintain routine and ad hoc reporting for technical teams, as well as senior management review
    • Use statistical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and make suggestions for streamlining processes


    Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
    • 4+ years of experience as business analyst or similar experience
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets
    • High-level math skills and the ability to translate mathematical information into concise reports 

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience working in CAP, CLIA, GLP or other regulated environment
    • Experience with Sprocket Solutions ERP
    • Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Asset Management in S/4 HANA

    Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

    • Ability to work in an office setting, operate a telephone system, and a computer
