  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    The Market Access Specialist will be responsible for supporting market access related projects.  This role will have a basic working knowledge of how Cologuard is reimbursed by commercial, Medicare, and other payers and is able to articulate/explain the market access messaging for Cologuard. The position will report to the Director, Market Access and Strategy but will collaborate as needed with Marketing, Sales Force Effectiveness, and Sales Leadership teams.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support key Market Access-related projects/deliverables
    • Represent the Market Access team on cross-functional workgroups and project teams as needed
    • Submit and amend Market Access related materials as needed to Medical-Marketing-Legal-Regulatory review process
    • Manage key details and approvals associated with Market Access-centric conferences; memberships; and sponsorships
    • Attend key Market Access conferences/meetings 5-6 times per year (may be higher or lower based on need) and support event logistics, as needed

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience & education combination
    • At least 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing or related role(s).  Direct experience with a molecular diagnostics (lab), medical device, or pharmaceutical companies a plus

    Desired Characteristics

    • Demonstrated project management skills including coordination, communication and adherence to budget and completion goals, prioritization and troubleshooting
    • Strong written, verbal and presentational communication skills; ability to present to various levels within the company as well as external professional audiences
    • Ability to independently identify and analyze issues and to exercise sound judgment with the resolution of those issues
    • Ability to work on multiple projects and a variety of complicated tasks at the same time and prioritize tasks
    • Leadership skills necessary to promote a collaboration-oriented culture within the organization.
    • Proficient with MS Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Excel
    • Able to access and use Tableau analytical reports
    • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including the ability to easily convey concepts and priorities as well as ability to solicit feedback and input

    Physical requirements

    • Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time and up to 8 hours per day
    • Ability to sit for an extended period
    • Ability to stand for extended periods ≤6 hours at a time
    • Ability to travel (by land and air), both domestically on occasion (20%)
    • Ability to frequently and accurately communicate with employees, customers, and vendors in person, via the telephone or by email
