  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    The Manufacturing Sciences Intern will assist in a variety of product support, development, and improvement activities within Operations.  The position is intended to be a part-time opportunity for an engineering or science undergraduate to obtain hands-on industry experience in experiment design, execution, analysis, and reporting through presentation and technical writing while contributing to the overall expansion efforts within Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Provide technical and product support to Operations.
    • Perform investigative testing and analysis.
    • Assist and support the development and transfer of processes and/or procedures into Operations.
    • Clearly and accurately generate experimental protocols and summarize activities through technical summary or investigative reports.
    • Operate instrumentation such as micro plate readers, Real-Time PCR instruments, and liquid handling automation.
    • Conduct bench level experiments to identify problems and determine root cause.
    • Review and compile historical data.
    • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
    • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned by management.


    Minimum Requirements

    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Enrollment towards Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or other life sciences discipline in junior or senior standing.

    Preferred Requirements

    • 3.5 GPA or higher

    Physical Requirements


    • May be required to lift up to 25lbs on an infrequent basis up to 20% of the time.
