  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    This individual will be responsible for leading the effort to develop commercial hypotheses to guide brand strategy and execution for Cologuard in the US Market.  He/she must also communicate with a wide cross-section of internal functions, including senior leadership, to maximize the impact and reach of Cologuard content.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Build a commercial engagement plan for Thought Leaders who are shaping the field of colorectal cancer screening and prevention. Practitioners mainly from the areas of primary care and gastroenterology.
    • Build the peer-to-peer programming speaker’s bureau.
    • Responsible for organizing and conducting practitioner consulting activities at major medical congresses.
    • Serve as the commercial lead in partnerships with patient advocacy and physician associations.
    • Conduct advisory boards and individual consulting to gather feedback from practitioners on commercial endeavors.
    • Lead the competitive intelligence function for the commercial team.
    • Analyze primary and secondary HCP market research, ensuring the insights are pulled through to commercial outputs by the broader marketing team.
    • Serve as the marketing lead for developing commercial plans at key accounts.
    • Customize marketing plans to capitalize on regionally based market opportunities.
    • Discern the need for Regional Marketing Managers based on the potential and life cycle of Cologuard.
    • Effectively work with internal cross-functional teams, external partners, including the professional agency, and project teams to achieve excellence.
    • Strategic alignment and integration with Medical Affairs.


    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
    • Minimum of twelve years of combined experience in marketing, brand management, and sales.
    • Competency and flexibility in understanding diverse and complex business and technical problems.
    • Ability to develop, motivate and lead teams of cross-functional resources in a matrixed organization with competing priorities.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize strategies, initiatives and workload independently and proactively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Exceptional professional writing and communication skills.
    • Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.
    • Willing to travel (70%).

    Desired Characteristics

    • MBA strongly preferred.
    • Previous experience leading a team on various projects and marketing initiatives.
    • Ability to influence across teams/functions.
