  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    The Project Manager Intern will assist the Real Estate and Capital Programs team in the execution of real estate and construction projects. Specific responsibilities may include stakeholder coordination and communication, schedule development and monitoring, site inspections, cost reviews, and organizing turnover information. The position is intended to be a 3 month, part-time opportunity for an engineering or construction management student to obtain hands-on project management experience in a corporate setting.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with project managers and coordinators to support project completion requirements
    • Review project schedules and determine if contractors progress is on track or at risk
    • Coordinate stakeholder requirements and resource needs to support small sub-projects such as equipment or furniture installation, employee moves, or punch list development
    • Updating and creating project management tools and templates
    • Produce construction observation reports
    • Communicate project updates to stakeholders
    • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
    • Regular and reliable attendance
    • Ability to work normal schedule of Monday through Friday during normal business hours
    • Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time and up to 8 hours per day
    • Ability to work in harsh outdoor conditions for short periods of time of less than 60 minutes
    • Ability to frequently and accurately communicate with co-workers in person, via the telephone or by email
    • Constant walking or motion to coordinate work and interact with co-workers
    • Ability to climb ladders and scaffold and walk on uneven surfaces, observe work from heights
    • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Enrollment towards Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management in junior or senior standing
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrated organization and problem solving skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and good verbal and written communication skills
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

     

    Preferred Requirements

     

    • 3.5 GPA or higher
