  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    Integration and Conversion Analyst is the primary support contact for the interfaces they are assigned to. Integration and Conversion Analyst coordinate the analysis, technical design, and all issue triage necessary to implement and support their assigned interfaces. They work closely with the interface project manager, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that interfaces meet the needs of your end users.


    This role is also responsible for converting data from Exact Sciences’ legacy systems into Exact Sciences’ new systems. The role is the primary support for the conversions they are assigned to complete. The role is responsible for analyzing, extracting, and formatting external systems data in order to bring that data into our new system. They are also responsible for setup and configuration of the conversion interfaces within the interface application. Finally, the Integration and Conversion Analyst is responsible for loading, testing, and organizing validation of external data within the system. They work closely with the interface team, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that conversions meet the expectations of your end users.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Managing the entire cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go‐live, and support.
    • Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third‐party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements. Working with this group to diagnose and resolve interface‐related issues and participating in their projects as needed.
    • Coordinating various interface‐specific tasks and activities like testing, build, cutover planning, and go‐live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, and interface engine developers.
    • Working with interface engine developers to develop data‐translation routines and methods to support internal and external systems' data and format needs.
    • Driving the interface projects, working with the interface project manager to ensure that results are achieved, and deadlines are met.
    • Providing proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and collaborating with experts to provide permanent resolutions to problems.
    • Defining the transport method by which extracted source system data will be communicated to target systems.
    • Troubleshooting the data transport mechanism.
    • Understanding data structures and documenting technical specifications detailing target data elements.
    • Interpreting the defined scope and defined business requirements for each dataset in the creation of each technical specification.
    • Analyzing and manipulating external data into an appropriate format for HL7 conversion filing into target system.
    • Communicating with technical and external database analysts.
    • Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to analyze data, problemsolve, and clearly communicate solutions.
    • Ability to understand organizational requirements and their impact on the technical aspects of a solution.

    • Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
    • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
    • Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, statistics, or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
    • 3+ years of IT experience supporting system integrations.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
