  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    As a member of the Corporate Total Rewards Team, the Senior Compensation Analyst will contribute to an effective and efficient delivery of Compensation-related tasks including job evaluation, market pricing, participating in external total rewards surveys, supporting the annual Compensation Planning cycle and being a subject matter expert to collaborate with internal stakeholders such HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Supervisors/Managers and other colleagues.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Act as internal subject matter expert to HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and other internal stakeholders’ leaders on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation.
    • Lead annual compensation planning cycle for cash and equity compensation.
    • Support preparation of presentation materials to Compensation Committee and Board of Directors.
    • Lead Total Compensation Statement content development, and distribution guidelines to national workforce.
    • Partner with Organizational Development Team to develop and lead Training and other Communication efforts to socialize compensation philosophy, policy and best practices with Supervisors/Managers, HR Business Partners - especially during the Annual Compensation Planning cycle.
    • Oversee the effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures.
    • Develop process improvements to streamline compensation related processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Advise HR Operations team and other internal stakeholders to ensure completion of regulatory compliance reports.
    • Lead organization participation in designated Total Rewards/salary surveys.
    • Ensure that Workday Job Description repository is updated and maintained reflecting appropriate job codes and other job evaluation guidelines.
    • Support job analysis, job description development and re-evaluation processes especially during high volume periods.
    • Meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support Position Requisition process.
    • Develop compensation reports analytics to support KPIs and other metrics.
    • Consult with external compensation consultants to support timely execution of key initiatives and compensation related projects.
    • Lead various compensation-related projects as assigned.
    • Keep apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations and stays informed of new industry trends and best practices in compensation.

    • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
    • Regular and reliable attendance.
    • Ability to work designated schedule.
    • Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
    • Strong technical, analytical skills and organizational skills to identify and solve problems and independently lead projects as necessary.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high level of confidentiality.
    • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to work on a mobile device, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
    • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or other relevant concentration.
    • 5+ years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs.
    • Knowledge of compensation and job evaluation theories, applicable wage/hour regulations, and salary survey methodologies.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite especially Excel & PowerPoint.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
    • Working knowledge of Workday HCMS and Compensation Module or similar HCMS system.
