  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    The Director, Treasury has significant leadership accountability and change management responsibilities for U.S. and International Treasury operations. This role will play an important role in creating the Treasury strategy through bringing forward thinking ideas and solutions. In addition to the Treasury operations oversight, this role is also responsible for developing and implementing processes and technology for Treasury operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead the Treasury Operations for U.S. and International by setting overall initiatives, allocating appropriate resources for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of Treasury projects.
    • Responsible for stewardship of the company’s cash through oversight and active management of the team providing funding to various Exact Sciences entities.
    • Oversee investment portfolio to provide liquidity and safety of principal while striving to achieve the highest rate of return.
    • Manage foreign exchange and interest rate risk through derivative transactions; oversee accounting and reporting related to these transactions.
    • Lead the planning and execution of investment and borrowing strategies.
    • Responsible for cash flow forecasting across the Organization.
    • Oversee and manage liquidity, cash management, and banking strategy.
    • Develop and execute global technology solutions to improve global treasury processes and transactions.
    • Responsible for developing and implement global Treasury operations processes which will scale with our business.
    • Oversight of SOX and policy compliance for Treasury operations activities.
    • Provide advisory to cross-functional business partners on various cash management related projects.
    • Develop and maintain strong partnership across the finance organization to bring well rounded solutions to the company.
    • Leverage market best practices to bring continuous improvement to the treasury operations.
    • Supervise staff including but not limited to organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
    • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
    • Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
    • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
    • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
    • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
    • Regular and reliable attendance.
    • Ability to work designated schedule.
    • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
    • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience working in a Treasury role.
    • 6+ years of experience leading or directing people and/or project teams.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CPA or CFA license.
    • Healthcare industry experience.
    • Capital markets experience.
