  • Summary of Major Responsibilities

    The Associate Director HIT plays a leadership role in leading a team in supporting and promoting health information technology initiatives to assist Organized Customers in improving CRC screening.  In partnership with the account managers (SAM/NAMs), the HIT team will work with C/D Suite leaders to identify opportunities for optimizing the many HIT technologies (e.g., E.H.R., P.H.M., add-on Solutions) which are currently being used by health system customers in-market. 

     

    This role is responsible for working closely with the HIT marketing function to develop and execute strategy while leading a team of customer-facing HIT Leads within the US within regional and national health systems. The AD, HIT will recruit, train, coach, lead and provide performance management for a team of HIT representatives.  This role is also responsible for the overall business and driving adoption of Cologuard in targeted health systems while leading a team to identify and optimize the HIT technologies within the targeted accounts and function as an active and collaborative member of the integrated account team.

     

    This position may be located at headquarters in Madison, WI or field based.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise staff including but not limited to organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
    • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
    • Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
    • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
    • Manage the HIT team objectives, budget and revenue targets and maintain ongoing reporting of progress with management team.
    • Assist in defining health technology strategy for health systems including IDNs and national healthcare for market access and utilization of Cologuard and other potential additions to the promotional portfolio.
    • Lead a team to establish relationships with high priority decision makers, Key Opinion Leaders, C-Suite, in health information technology to facilitate access to Cologuard and influence/change to CRC screening protocols.
    • Works collaboratively with cross-functional team to uncover opportunities, and/or uncover underlying or unexpressed clinical/customer technology needs.
    • Conducts regular business reviews with the Account Team leadership and HIT leads and at least bi-annual performance reviews to monitor progress against goals, compliance, and career development.
    • Create business plans including, but not limited to opportunity development, strategic account targeting and planning and developing competitive strategies to successfully meet sales goals.
    • Ensures key stakeholders; marketing, lab, medical affairs, market access, and operations, are fully briefed and aligned on relevant business opportunities.
    • Align Exact Sciences HIT capabilities with customer E.H.R. capabilities.
    • Assist marketing in developing and proposing new resources and tools for use in-market.
    • Develop HIT market shaping opportunities between Exact Sciences and relevant HIT vendors, influencers, policy makers, customers or multiple stakeholders within key market ecosystems.

    • Regular and reliable attendance.
    • Ability to travel 60% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience working in health information technology, marketing, or commercial field.
    • 3+ years of experience leading teams.
    • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong IT acumen & knowledge of HIT platforms and applications.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of how HIT is currently leveraged in US market and within health systems.
    • Demonstrated success in establishing, developing and maintaining relationships; influencing others.
