Summary of Major Responsibilities

This position is a functional leader in the Sales Excellence team.  The role will work closely with Primary Care and Health Systems sales leadership as well as the rest of the commercial leadership team. The role will drive commercial priorities and initiatives by leading teams of cross-functional commercial and lab team members to deliver the required work. Responsibilities include being the primary communications partner for Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, AOPH, Medical affairs and alternate channels (AOC, pipeline products).  This person will perform as a liaison with co-promote partners and any newly acquired divisions of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop business plans for initiatives that cut across the function, including creation and adherence to mission/vision, and improvements to internal operations.
  • Build and execute program roadmaps based on business group strategy across all functional areas and stakeholder input; to include formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on progress of programs to leadership, including KPI’s.
  • Drive execution of future sales force expansions, pilot programs related to the sales force, and work related to new products or sales channels.
  • Co-lead strategy for future enhancements within Veeva (Engage).
  • Create compelling internal and external presentations that leverage data to tell the right story to the intended audience.
  • Prepare communication and research for sales and commercial leadership.
  • Ensure all internal meetings have a defined agenda and objectives.
  • Utilize strong oral and written communications/presentations, influence and persuasion, results orientation, facilitation, and teamwork skills.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work in the home office one day per week or as needed.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 70% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or medical device field.
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience with demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing and reporting financials for a function.
  • Experience working in a matrix management organization.
  • Experience working with sales and marketing functions.
  • Experience with project management or product launches.
