Summary of Major Responsibilities

This position leads the Commercial Services team and is responsible for supporting the Exact Sciences screening and precision oncology commercial functions for areas including logistics, events planning, speaker programs, and compliance/MLR (Medical Legal Review). This role is responsible for planning and implementing cross-functional initiatives to accomplish business objectives; acts as a change agent to drive implementation of commercial initiatives and lead Integration projects. This role will work cross functionally to continuously deliver high levels of service and drive process improvements to increase efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the strategy and execution of the Commercial Services team supporting event planning, corporate compliance review, speaker programs, and integration projects.
  • Drives and supports process improvement initiatives to increase process efficiency.
  • Assesses external partnerships in assigned functional areas to drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Works with commercial senior leadership to assess needs and provide exceptional support and execution.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key commercial stakeholders.
  • Identifies risks and opportunities; addresses and escalates as needed.
  • Consults with commercial and non-commercial key stakeholders to develop proposals; to include determining goals, timeline, funding and allotment of resources for implementing initiatives.
  • Directly or indirectly leads cross-functional teams to deliver solutions while managing scope, risks, timeline, resources and project deliverables.
  • Proactively works with key stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, to define. requirements for new or updated processes and to drive effective change.
  • Supervise staff including but not limited to organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance. reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
  • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
  • Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
  • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to balance cost, quality and schedule constraints while escalating issues as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple competing priorities within and across multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Ability to balance and execute considering factors in risk management, change management and strategic planning.
  • Experience working in a matrix management organization with primary responsibility for success while relying on a team of resources which may or may not be direct reports.

  • Ability to work designated schedule.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 15% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, communication, administration, logistics, compliance or related positions.
  • 4+ years of experience leading people.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
