Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Finance Shared Services Specialist is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of shared services transactions in order to ensure effective and accurate financial and administrative operations. This includes evaluating transactions for proper classification and work with supervisor to determine correct action regarding the posting of the transactions.  The Shared Service specialist position will support all areas of shared services including, accounts payable, travel and expense, payroll and equity compensation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day processing of Finance Shared Services teams as needed, based on volume.
  • Ability to record and pull data from data management system.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting upon incurring errors.
  • Ability to follow defined policies and processes.
  • Ability to generate standard reports.
  • Monitor the Finance Shared Services teams email inboxes.
  • Adhere to accounting policies and procedures that are in compliance with applicable government regulations (SOX, GAAP, IFRS).
  • Assist in gathering information for external auditors for annual audits, quarterly reviews and SOX internal control testing.
  • Complete requests for verification of employment timely.
  • Conduct internal audit of employee expense reports and ensure reimbursement submissions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Ensure timely routing of expense reports for approval and payment.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work designated schedule.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates degree.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
