Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Senior Operations Specialist provides sales operations support for Exact Sciences sales team members in order to develop, execute and manage strategy and processes for successful commercialization focused on Sales Force automation and administration and management of sales and account support infrastructure. 


This Senior Sales Operations Specialist will support the GI Sales Force within the Screening Business Unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of processes to enhance operational excellence, including targeting and alignment updates, standard operating procedures (such as tactical plans, compliance reporting, etc.).
  • Review reporting mechanisms (CRM, Dashboards, etc.) to gain insights into causal drivers or performance and provide actionable direction.
  • Interface with business analysts and project managers to document business specifications in a highly collaborative project environment.
  • Develop, test, debug, and deploy applications to meet business needs for internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage general understanding of the tools the teams use to answer questions and educate end-users on CRM functions and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (marketing, IT, laboratory, sales management) to establish and maintain data stewardship processes and principles.
  • Identify data quality issues and create efficient solutions to resolve these anomalies.
  • Encourage collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels and responsiveness.
  • Partner with Information Technology and Business Analytics team to maintain level of readiness within field salesforce and anticipate future needs.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Training on the design & delivery of training content.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience establishing process and procedures as it relates to sales, sales, and/or commercial support.
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel macros and pivot tables.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience, in the field of marketing, sales, service, or operations.
  • Familiarity with Veeva and Tableau BI.
  • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.
