Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Market Strategy, Outcomes and Population Health (SOPH) Senior Director, Access Marketing is responsible for developing and overseeing  sustainable market access, employer/retail, outcomes and population health marketing strategies and tactical deliverables that will ensure Screening, Precision Oncology, and Pipeline business unit’s (BU) products achieve the most optimal access positions for existing and future products.

 

This role interacts with Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and leadership in SOPH, Market Access, Medical Affairs, BU Marketing, Field Sales, Legal, Laboratory, Financial Planning and Analytics, Training, and other cross-functional teams.

 

This position is field based.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure close collaboration with Access Strategy, Outcomes and Population Health colleagues along with Market Access, Medical, and BU Marketing teams as a valued partner to targeted payer and channel customers; Finance, Analytics, and Sales colleagues to capture relevant payer insights, identify data gaps, and develop compelling value propositions, materials, and messaging for field-based access, consumer and employer, and population health teams.
  • Ensure BU brand plans incorporate the needs of payer, consumer/member, retailer, employer, and payer quality leaders.
  • Align organization on metrics to assess impact of key SOPH and Market Access marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Contribute to and support Access Strategy leaders in annual brand planning, forecasting, and budgeting process to represent payer and channel customer segment.
  • Identify, as appropriate, payer / system specific opportunities for innovative arrangements based on brand strategies in collaboration with Access Strategy leads, Market Access, and others.
  • Develop access-specific marketing capabilities across BU’s portfolios.
  • Oversee all payer and channel market research within BU.
  • Lead and manage the Healthcare Transformation strategy, tactics, and portfolio of projects to ensure alignment with Exact corporate priorities, business unit brand plans, and pipeline needs.
  • Directly responsible for the providing subject matter expertise and project management leadership of Healthcare Transformation projects focused on new capability development aligned with corporate priorities, business objectives, and SOPH and Market Access strategic goals.
  • Direct resources to proactively manage SOPH marketing projects and ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget.
  • Oversee communication, project management execution/reporting, problem-solving strategies with internal stakeholders and projects with the Healthcare Transformation team members and Head of Access Strategy, Outcomes, and Population Health.
  • Represent Healthcare Transformation and SOPH on cross-functional marketing and healthcare transformation project teams and working groups that exist between commercial organization, lab, and other departments.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Access Strategy, Outcomes, and Population Health, SOPH and Market Access leadership team to develop and implement key marketing components of the reimbursement, market access, and population health strategies.
  • Serve as senior level advisor and participant in customer facing and other external meetings aligned with SOPH and Market Access objectives and corporate priorities.
  • Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
  • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of working time for team meetings, project meetings, conferences, and external vendor/customer/client interactions, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in healthcare.
  • 8+ years of experience leading or directing people and/or project teams.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing projects; including overseeing work plans and budgets.
  • 7+ years of experience with Commercial brand planning process and incorporating strategic/tactical aspects into a marketing plan.
  • 5+ years in payer marketing/market access.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. payer market dynamics and how managed care organizations make decisions across commercial and public channels.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement landscape and incorporates into market access, employer, retail, population health marketing materials, programs, and strategies.
  • Proven success in leading market access launch readiness planning and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Advanced degree in business, medicine, or relevant field.
