Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Incentive Compensation provides sales operations leadership for Exact Sciences to develop, execute, and manage strategy and processes for successful commercialization focused on sales force incentive design, compensation management, and rewards and recognition programs. This role will work closely with our external vendor for overall management of the sales incentive compensation program. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with various stakeholders, such as executive leadership, sales management, human resources, to understand the overall sales strategy to ensure a sales incentive plan (SIP) design that is built to deliver on that strategy.
  • Manage relationship with outside vendor responsible for managing the SIP process.
  • Facilitate the development of processes to differentiate performance across the sales organization to inform such areas as annual performance reviews, long term incentives, and Circle of Excellence recognition.
  • Ensure processes and robust rhythm of review are in place to capture metrics and act through trend analysis and customer feedback accurately and consistently.
  • Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer and client satisfaction levels and responsiveness.
  • Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
  • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
  • Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
  • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 8+ years of experience in compensation, marketing, sales, or commercial operations to include leading teams and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish sales operations strategies to include the design of incentives and compensation plans.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of quota setting methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives by applying excellent project planning and execution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Experience in sales operations with a healthcare focus.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
