Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Senior Risk Analyst assists with the day-to-day operations of the organization’s global commercial insurance program.  This position requires collaboration with various cross functional team members and stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage risks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection and submission of updated exposure information to the insurance broker as part of the coverage renewal process.
  • Manage the auto, liability, property, workers’ compensation, and other miscellaneous insurance related claims processes and activities.
  • Identify and analyze potential impact of exposures of loss faced by the organization and work with both internal and external teams to develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Coordinate loss control site visits with the insurance broker and carrier.
  • Review carrier loss control reports and provide recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and distribute reports monitoring the team’s identified key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Review lease and vendor contract language to ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Participate in writing and/or reviewing process manuals, guidelines, etc. to support the insurance and risk management function.
  • Understand industry trends and technical changes around risk management best practices.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives such as business continuity planning, fleet management, new construction, etc.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management or field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 5+ years of relevant insurance and risk management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and submit renewal information to an insurance broker and/or insurance carrier.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property/casualty insurance coverages.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, to include Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing an organization’s property insurance program such as statement of values, loss control, claims handling, etc.
  • ARM, CPCU, or similar professional insurance designation.
  • Knowledge in utilizing a Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
