Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Manager, Talent Sourcing  will be responsible for building, developing, and coaching a highly autonomous and motivated strategic sourcing team. This position will be driving a one-team mentality throughout sourcing and in partnership with recruiting, hiring leaders, HR business partners, and business functions. The Manager, Talent Sourcing will be responsible for effective sourcing strategy, talent mapping our competitive landscape while supporting the team in building active and passive pipelines. This role will be key in the build-out of this team, as well as a key decision maker in the sourcing strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, and grow capabilities of talent sourcing team.
  • Develop a proactive, sustainable, and strategic sourcing plan by working closely with leadership teams, hiring managers, and recruiters to understand business needs and execute on building an inclusive talent pipeline, through creative sourcing methods to meet the demands of the organization. 
  • Collaborate with business and recruiting team partners to build and maintain inclusive talent pipelines through referral generation, sourcing campaigns, talent branding efforts, and other creative channels.
  • Identify and track trends in recruiting, the competitive landscape, and market drivers, constantly educating and sharing this knowledge with the Talent Acquisition team, clients, and peers, utilizing these insights to drive changes and evolutions in our sourcing delivery. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of and take an active role in developing the sourcing team tools and resources (Ex: LinkedIn Recruiter, Hiretual, Indeed, etc.), Boolean sourcing and alternative search techniques, identifying new tools to optimize the team’s productivity.
  • Utilize data and metrics to continuously improve our sourcing strategy & approach and analyze the team’s impact, providing the ability to effectively report against the team’s KPIs and overall production.
  • Provide timely reporting and meaningful metrics and insights to business leaders, hiring managers and recruiters to drive decisions, improve processes, and tell the sourcing story.
  • Partner with communications resources throughout the organization to develop and execute tactics to promote and drive awareness of Exact Sciences’ employment brand.
  • Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
  • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
  • Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
  • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.

  • Ability to work seated for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel 10% between Madison locations.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in recruitment with deep technical knowledge in sourcing.
  • 3+ years of experience with successful direct sourcing and creative candidate generation abilities as well as recruiting strategy development.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead a team of Talent Sourcers to deliver results in line with talent sourcing objectives, including mentoring, coaching and capability growth of direct reports.
  • Demonstrated experience building and adjusting talent needs based on business demands and/or growth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of an OFCCP/AA compliant hiring process.
  • Experience working in high volume recruiting, staffing agency, biotech, pharma, or healthcare.
