Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for current UI/UX analysis, research, UI design, and the evolution of the company’s design systems across digital channels and various products. With a user-centric approach, and in collaboration with development teams, business stakeholders, usability research partners, product, and analytics, this role will help build out multiple user experiences and UI frameworks in the form of: information architectures, design systems, low to high fidelity prototypes, task and workflow modeling, ethnography, persona development, rapid iterative usability testing, in-depth testing, best-practice implementation, and ensuring the ongoing practical and creative quality of user experience. Additionally, this role will help create a UI/UX program and playbook and oversee usability testing of various Exact Sciences digital properties and applications; including, but not limited to, identification of key user needs and goals and the creation of modern UI/UX solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create design systems, website interaction models, information architectures, user task flows, and screen designs.
  • Turn complex information into intuitive graphics, charts, and other forms of visualization data.
  • Develop user experience requirements and user scenarios by working with stakeholders and documenting them via user stories that scrum teams utilize.
  • Use ideation and sketching for storyboards and prototyping.
  • Create low- and medium-fidelity prototypes to test proposed experiences.
  • Deliver mockups to aid with cross-team communication, collaboration, and development.
  • Work with development teams to synthesize ideas and create a finished, consistent product.
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks; recommend UI/UX opportunities, improvements, and oversee their implementation.
  • Develop and maintain UX standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and moderate other UX research initiatives, when needed.
  • Create test plans, run the testing (moderating), analyze results, conduct task-focused analysis, and compile and present reports to stakeholders and the rest of the business.

  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, or field related to the essential duties of the job; High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant experience related to human-computer interaction design in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in a UX-based environment include development of interactive designs for web, web applications, mobile devices, and other online platforms and development of wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, journey maps, personas, and site maps.
  • 5+ years of experience with user research platforms and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success working with vendors and consulting firms (e.g., web development teams).
  • Demonstrated success working with Agile designing in sprints.
  • Demonstrated success working with modern design tools; such as Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Figma, and Webflow.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of the current web and mobile technology landscape.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite applications, and associated design tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with react framework.
  • Experience in the healthcare of life sciences industry.
  • Desire to work in a global delivery environment.
