Summary of Major Responsibilities

As a member of the Corporate Total Rewards Team, the Senior Job Evaluation Analyst communicates Job evaluation standards and principles to the HR community and business leaders to build capability and ensure roles are implemented effectively. This team member contributes to the development and maintenance of job evaluation governance, framework, processes, principles and practices, and provides project support to the Talent Management team.  This role will ensure applicable internal stakeholders such as Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and other colleagues are trained on the Job Profile and Job Architecture system, methodology, and process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the key point of contact for designated client teams and HR business partners and managers with subject matter expertise as it pertains to job evaluation practices, job code management, and job titling to ensure effective role design and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge and understanding of internal business strategies, and external industry trends to ensure roles are assessed in relation to business context and market competitiveness.
  • Gather data about role content and context, group history, and business planning/ strategy, engaging HR business partners, business leaders, managers, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Conducts targeted job analyses and assessment of group structure to identify and address issues and opportunities such as role(s) overlap, gaps, compression, etc.
  • Perform in-depth role analysis and assessment of role context and content using a standardized set of job evaluation factors to evaluate the knowledge/skill, effort, accountability impact and working conditions (where required) inherent in a role, ensuring alignment with organization design principles, levels of work and designated benchmark roles.
  • Determine job grade ensuring internal relativity across the company to facilitate recruiting, talent management, career development and compensation administration.  
  • Maintains job evaluation results and related information including job descriptions, job evaluation. requests, organization charts, comparable roles, and outcomes to ensure history and context is maintained.   
  • Maintains copies of evaluation results to ensure evaluation results are internally relative and can be used for future assessments as needed.   
  • Maintains job evaluation system including but not limited to, system set up, reporting, analytics, leveling, and modeling.
  • Act as the central resource for the job code design in Workday.
  • Monitor the application of job codes used by client groups and ensure that job codes are appropriately assigned and applied.   
  • Design and develop a variety of ad hoc reports and analyses and metrics in support of compliance, service level expectations and resource planning.
  • Maintain current and historical executive level information, including evaluation results, job descriptions, and grade levels for reporting and tracking purposes.   
  • Assists in special projects related to the implementation of new job codes and career paths.   
  • Provide input into the development and maintenance of career paths and benchmark roles to ensure sustainment of internal relativity.   
  • Supports M&A by job matching, levelling roles, and evaluating new/revised roles.
  • Create training content to support Talent Management team and People Leaders.
  • May participate in third party Global Compensation surveys.
  • Engages in internal system data audits.
  • Consults with external compensation consultants for advice and expertise, as necessary.
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations and stays informed of new industry trends and best practices in compensation.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work normal schedule of Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
  • Strong technical, analytical skills, and organizational skills to identify and solve problems and independently lead projects as necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Company locations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs. 
  • Professional working knowledge of compensation and job evaluation theories (e.g., Korn Ferry/Hay) and organization design principles.
  • Strong diagnosis and analytical skills and ability to analyze levels of work.  
  • Consistency in the application of the Job Evaluation methodology and ability to provide sound rationale for evaluation outcomes.   
  • Professional working knowledge of applicable wage/hour regulations, and salary survey methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in job evaluation and compliance requirements for different countries.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
  • Working knowledge of Workday HCMS and Compensation Module or similar HCMS system.
