Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Investor Relations Intern will assist in the development of materials to communicate about Exact Sciences to a cross-section of audiences, including internal team members, institutional and private investors, media, and others. The position is intended to be a full-time opportunity for a finance or communications undergraduate to obtain hands-on investor relations experience and contribute to the company’s effort to convey its mission and vision to key audiences

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research key investor-related issues in health care, specifically the diagnostic and life science sectors.
  • Provide financial analysis, tools, and concepts to help drive business results and communications.
  • Assist with various research and analysis projects to support the investor relations function.
  • Provide succinct, strongly written materials for use with investors, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate directly with senior management ahead of key events, including internal team meetings, earnings calls, media activities, and other public events.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis up to 20% of the time.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
  • Ability to use a telephone through a headset.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment towards Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, public relations, communications, or marketing in junior or senior standing 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Research knowledge of publicly traded companies a plus
