The Senior Process Development Engineer will provide expertise, vision, and leadership in process design and development to optimize process flow, increase consistency, improve operating sustainability and scalability, and safety of end-users in the laboratory/production. The Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research supports the day-to-day project development activity through interaction with scientists and/or contractors, while gathering, analyzing and interpreting scientific data. The Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research evaluates literature research data, provides administrative support to the Director, Biomarker Research & Evidence, and self-manages projects as assigned.   In particular, the Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research is responsible for the exploration and implementation of biomarker candidates that may be used to guide treatment selection and/or may become part of the Paradigm biomarker portfolio. This includes the fast track exploration of emerging clinical markers, the conceptualization of biomarker evaluation packages for the Evidence Review Committee, as well as the translation of approved target-drug associations into the Paradigm proprietary rules interface.   As part of the biomarker research group, the Associate Scientist integrates basic and clinical science studies along with computational, statistical and epidemiologic approaches for a comprehensive understanding of biomarkers and their associations with disease processes. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of basic, translational and clinical research, as related to the treatment of cancer as well as proteomic and molecular profiling of cancer and molecular targets, pathways that may be targeted with relevant immunologic or molecular therapies, and the evolving role of biomarkers in precision oncology clinical trials.

The Accessioning Supervisor is responsible for supervision of personnel and daily operations of the Accessioning department including, but not limited to, specimen box receipt process, test order processing, sample processing, material return and management of associated documents and records.   The Accessioning Supervisor oversees the pre- and post-analytical sample processing activities. This role will participate in these activities and troubleshoot sample, process or system issues as needed.  The Accessioning Supervisor will also participate in the development and administration of policies and procedures, contribute to continuous process improvement to ensure consistent, high quality processes, and best practices established within Laboratory Operations.  This role will support or participate in internal and external audits and quality management activities to ensure laboratory compliance with the applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.   The Accessioning Supervisor serves as a liaison between Accessioning and various functional groups including, but not limited to Histology, Customer Service, Analytical Laboratory, Process and Service Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, Quality, Supply Chain Management and Workplace Services groups to report and address immediate issues or concerns.  This role must also act as a liaison between staff members and the management team to support effective communication and change management.  The Accessioning Supervisor will assist in the assessment of staffing levels to ensure adequate laboratory capacity and effective resource allocations, and will recruit and hire new employees or contingency workers.  The Accessioning Supervisor will also be responsible for the ongoing management of their staff, which include, but are not limited to, partnering with staff to create and execute personal development plans, conducting performance reviews and ensuring appropriate work scheduling, training and competency assessment.   To be successful in this complex and high-volume work environment, the Accessioning Supervisor must demonstrate leadership, operation management and organizational skills.  This person  must be comfortable with facilitating timely and sound decision-making with data, have the ability to remain professional and composed under pressure, the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the laboratory and across departments to achieve common goals.

The Laboratory Technician in Accessioning is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the department to provide pre- and post-analytical laboratory services, and as needed, assisting other teams in the Clinical Laboratory.  Daily job functions include, but not limited to, one or more of the following: specimen kit receipt, scanning and archiving documents and records received from the ordering physicians and submitting laboratories, shipping patient reports and specimen kit boxes to the physicians, returning specimen, organizing department supplies, assisting in maintenance activities of a work bench and/or equipment and supporting management in triaging workflow issues.   The Laboratory Technician has the knowledge and skills to perform duties beyond the job functions of the Laboratory Assistant in a high throughput work environment with expected quality and throughput. Some duties include identifying issues, troubleshooting common issues, follow up on missing information, assisting management in SOP revision, interviews, staff training, collecting data for tracking and trending, and project execution as assigned.  He or she shows the initiative to learn and help address laboratory needs and issues.  The Laboratory Technician may serve as a lead to the Laboratory Assistant team to coordinate tasks, divide workload, manage task assignments and review documents as assigned.   To be successful in this role, the Laboratory Technician must demonstrate the ability to follow standard operating procedures and work independently in a regulated work environment, the ability to complete scheduled tasks and assignments with expected quality and throughput and assist others when necessary. He or she is adaptive to change, possesses a good understanding of job requirements and workflow, and functions effectively as a member of the Exact Sciences team. The Manager, Service and Support is responsible for managing the service personnel (Service Team) who service Exact Sciences laboratory equipment and instrumentation.  This role oversees all service activities.  Service activities under the responsibility of the Service Manager include installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair for laboratory equipment.  Instrumentation responsibilities may include both simple (e.g. mixers) and complex laboratory instrumentation (e.g. liquid handling robotics).  The Manager, Service and Support will work with the Systems Development team to assure knowledge transfer of instrumentation design and service needs to the Service Team.  The Manager, Service and Support will assist in the development of the service policies and procedures (e.g. SOPs) and play principal role in the commissioning of equipment and ongoing service activities, once the policies and procedures are established.  The individual in this role will continuously work with the Service Team and the laboratories he/she is servicing to ensure a high-quality service experience for the laboratories he/she is responsible for servicing.
