The Supervisor, Molecular Laboratory is responsible for the general supervision of the laboratory personnel and the daily operations of the molecular laboratory. This role may also perform high complexity laboratory testing on patient specimens, and quality control and quality assurance procedures while complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laboratory requirements. The high complexity nature of the work requires excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules, and the ability to work independently in a team environment.      The Supervisor, Molecular Laboratory will often be the first point of contact for molecular technologists and laboratory assistants during laboratory processing and will provide guidance while troubleshooting complex problems. This role must also act as a liaison between the laboratory staff, support departments, and senior management.  As such, the Supervisor, Molecular Laboratory must exhibit leadership skills such as good judgment, sound analysis and decision making, the ability to remain professional and composed under pressure, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the laboratory and across departments.

The Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research supports the day-to-day project development activity through interaction with scientists and/or contractors, while gathering, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data. The Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research evaluates literature research data, provides administrative support to the Director, Biomarker Research & Evidence, and self-manages projects, as assigned.   In particular, the Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research is responsible for the exploration and implementation of biomarker candidates that may be used to guide treatment selection and/or may become part of the Precision Oncology biomarker portfolio. This includes the fast-track exploration of emerging clinical markers, the conceptualization of biomarker evaluation packages for the Evidence Review Committee, as well as the translation of approved target-drug associations into the Precision Oncology proprietary rules interface.   As part of the biomarker research group, the Associate Scientist, Biomarker Research integrates basic and clinical science studies along with computational, statistical, and epidemiologic approaches for a comprehensive understanding of biomarkers and their associations with disease processes. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of basic, translational and clinical research, as related to the treatment of cancer as well as proteomic and molecular profiling of cancer and molecular targets, pathways that may be targeted with relevant immunologic or molecular therapies, and the evolving role of biomarkers in precision oncology clinical trials.
