The Exact Sciences Laboratories (ESL) Manager, Training & Development assists the ESL leadership team in the development, coordination and execution of all training-related activities for ESL. The Training Manager manages a team of training supervisors and supports the day-to-day operations of the team.  The primary responsibilities include overall development and execution of the Exact Sciences Laboratories training program, including but not limited to new hire onboarding, training, retraining, competency assessments, corrective actions, processing and updating training materials and documentation. The Manager, Service and Support is responsible for managing the service personnel (Service Team) who service Exact Sciences laboratory equipment and instrumentation.  This role oversees all service activities.  Service activities under the responsibility of the Service Manager include installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair for laboratory equipment.  Instrumentation responsibilities may include both simple (e.g. mixers) and complex laboratory instrumentation (e.g. liquid handling robotics).  The Manager, Service and Support will work with the Systems Development team to assure knowledge transfer of instrumentation design and service needs to the Service Team.  The Manager, Service and Support will assist in the development of the service policies and procedures (e.g. SOPs) and play principal role in the commissioning of equipment and ongoing service activities, once the policies and procedures are established.  The individual in this role will continuously work with the Service Team and the laboratories he/she is servicing to ensure a high-quality service experience for the laboratories he/she is responsible for servicing.

The Clinical Laboratory Technical Specialist provides services of technical nature in the laboratory service areas.  This position is primarily responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities in the laboratory to ensure prompt test processing. The Service Applications Engineer II is responsible for service and applications support of complex robotic workstations, qPCR instruments, as well as other laboratory equipment. They will conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot instrument problems by performing root cause analysis, implementing and documenting appropriate corrective actions, while maintaining instruments to peak performance for Exact Sciences Precision Oncology’s various laboratory environments. These environments include the Clinical Laboratory where our industry-leading Oncotype DX® clinical diagnostic assays are run, the R&D laboratories where new product concepts are developed, and our Manufacturing and QC laboratories, which provide high-quality reagents for use in the other lab functions within Exact Sciences.   The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with liquid handling robotics and an in-depth understanding of current laboratory instruments used for nucleic acid isolation, quantification, and downstream analysis using quantitative RT-PCR.  Activities will include responding to instrument-related errors, performing root cause analysis to identify the problem, and implementing an appropriate corrective action to repair the instrument in a time-critical customer service-oriented manner.  He or she will be expected to develop a working knowledge of all Exact Sciences laboratory processes and associated systems such as our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).  This Service Engineer II will participate in cross-functional teams working in a variety of areas. These efforts will require excellent communication and collaboration with colleagues in Process Engineering, Assay Chemistry, our Clinical and Development Laboratories, Program Management, Research, Analytical Sciences, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and other groups.    The ideal candidate will be working cooperatively in a dynamic and interdisciplinary laboratory environment, adapting quickly to change and new technical challenges while providing strong technical leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a team player to participate in the growth of a fast-paced, pioneering company that is developing systematic approaches to applying genomic technology to health, disease, and medical practice.

The Accessioning Supervisor is responsible for supervision of personnel and daily operations of the Accessioning department including, but not limited to, specimen box receipt process, test order processing, sample processing, material return and management of associated documents and records.   The Accessioning Supervisor oversees the pre- and post-analytical sample processing activities. This role will participate in these activities and troubleshoot sample, process or system issues as needed.  The Accessioning Supervisor will also participate in the development and administration of policies and procedures, contribute to continuous process improvement to ensure consistent, high quality processes, and best practices established within Laboratory Operations.  This role will support or participate in internal and external audits and quality management activities to ensure laboratory compliance with the applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.   The Accessioning Supervisor serves as a liaison between Accessioning and various functional groups including, but not limited to Histology, Customer Service, Analytical Laboratory, Process and Service Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, Quality, Supply Chain Management and Workplace Services groups to report and address immediate issues or concerns.  This role must also act as a liaison between staff members and the management team to support effective communication and change management.  The Accessioning Supervisor will assist in the assessment of staffing levels to ensure adequate laboratory capacity and effective resource allocations, and will recruit and hire new employees or contingency workers.  The Accessioning Supervisor will also be responsible for the ongoing management of their staff, which include, but are not limited to, partnering with staff to create and execute personal development plans, conducting performance reviews and ensuring appropriate work scheduling, training and competency assessment.   To be successful in this complex and high-volume work environment, the Accessioning Supervisor must demonstrate leadership, operation management and organizational skills.  This person  must be comfortable with facilitating timely and sound decision-making with data, have the ability to remain professional and composed under pressure, the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the laboratory and across departments to achieve common goals.   Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm
