The main duties the Director of Contract Administration will be to prepare, negotiate, review and administer company contracts, including managed care and other contracts with health systems and health insurance companies, purchase and supply contracts, license agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements and a wide variety of other contracts. The Director of Contract Administration will act as the subject matter expert and focal point for internal and external contract matters.  He/she will be the primary point of contact for the review and preparation of routine contract documents in accordance with company policy.  The role requires an ability to independently identify and analyze issues and to exercise sound business and legal judgment in the resolution of those issues.  The Director of Contract Administration will provide authoritative guidance to internal business teams and/or third parties on company goals and objectives relating to contract activity. He/she will be accountable for ensuring contracts are established, reviewed, approved, and executed to ensure the highest regard for protecting the legal interests of the company; to ensure regulatory compliance; and to ensure contracts are based on sound business practices.  The Director of Contract Administration must be a self-starter and will be counted on to take initiative with regard to the development and management of our rapidly growing contract function.  He/she must have a strong attention to detail along with an ability to identify and mitigate potential risks for the company.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience negotiating, preparing and managing complex healthcare-related contracts, particularly in the lab services and/or diagnostic product space.
